Documentary Editors

We are looking for talented and dedicated aspiring film editors to work alongside our documentary directors on our 2019 ‘New Voices from Wales’ series. Under the mentorship of an experienced editor in the film industry, you will get the opportunity to edit the film yourself, working in a collaborative partnership with the films director, to help craft their story.

Our ‘New Voices from Wales’ series produces four, 10-15 minute long documentaries in partnership with BBC Cymru Wales and will be broadcast on BBC Wales and BBC iPlayer in Spring 2020.

This is an invaluable opportunity to experience the editing process for a professionally produced factual programme, and will ensure that you gain a BBC credit, as well as the enabling you to use this professionally produced film for your showreel/website.
There is no criteria as to who gets chosen other than the quality of your work, so with this in mind please send us a showreel of your very best work to give you the best chance of gaining one of the limited places on the scheme.
