About

It’s My Shout is a Welsh-based independent film production company dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent in the film and television industry. Founded in 2002, we offer hands-on experience across various aspects of filmmaking, including acting, directing, screenwriting, camera work, sound, design, and post-production.

Each year, we produce a number of short films, both dramas and documentaries, in collaboration with our broadcast partners, BBC Wales and S4C, providing participants with the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and gain practical skills.

We are inclusive, welcoming individuals of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of prior experience. Through workshops and on-set training, participants engage in real-world productions, enhancing their confidence and employability in the creative sector.

Our award winning films have been shown all over the world on BBC Wales, ITV Wales, S4C, Channel 4, The Euro Channel, on BBC ‘Big Screens’ across all the major UK cities, at Glastonbury Festival, and at film festivals around Europe including the Celtic Media Festival and the Berlin Film Festival. We have also won several BAFTA Cymru Awards.

Beyond production, It’s My Shout hosts an annual awards night to celebrate the achievements of its participants, further fostering a sense of community and recognition within the Welsh creative landscape.
